The owners of the Sugar Country Motor Inn are enjoying the sweet taste of success after a renovation by LMF Projects.
Built on the back of the sugar cane industry, Bundaberg is a thriving regional centre thanks to its increasingly diverse agricultural industry and focus on growing its reputation as a family-friendly holiday destination.
Situated on the main street, the Sugar Country Motor Inn is perfectly positioned to provide visiting businesspeople and tourists with a central location from which to explore everything the city has to offer. However, with increasing competition from newly renovated motels and Airbnb accommodation in town and the nearby beachside location of Bargara, the motel’s owners knew they had to create a point of difference.
With LMF Projects’ guidance and support, the 33-room motel was given a modern makeover, complete with the addition of a funky café, restaurant and bar. Updates to the motel’s façade, pool and entertainment area enhanced the motel’s street appeal while the refurbishment of the guest rooms and reception rounded out the renovation.
Completed in just eight weeks, the renovation achieved a dramatic improvement in occupancy rates, and lifted the spirits and confidence of the owners who now had a solid share of the market.
