Aberdeen Motor Inn - 32 rooms

Dubbo, NSW

The Aberdeen Motor Inn offers guests all of the creature comforts following a renovation by LMF Projects.

Situated on the main highway through the town of Dubbo, home to the famous Taronga Western Plains Zoo, the Aberdeen Motor Inn was fighting to keep its doors open.

Despite the year-round influx of tourists, the 30-year-old motel was suffering from declining occupancy rates and turnover. Why? Because the motel, desperately in need of a renovation, was struggling to compete against the growing number of motels which had undergone renovations.

LMF Projects worked with the owners and property management team to plan and execute a full refurbishment of the 32-room motel. A fresh, modern update to the motel’s interior and exterior – everything from the rooms, to the reception, kitchen and the pool and outdoor entertainment area – has put the motel not only back in but ahead of the game.

The now 4 Star-rated motel’s occupancy rates have risen from 65 per cent to 90 per cent, and room rates have been increased by a profit-boosting 26 per cent. The end-to-end project was completed in eight weeks.
